Delaware Water Gap Magic

To start, nestled in the heart of the Delaware Water Gap, Mount Tammany provides an unparalleled backdrop for photography. Recently, I had the pleasure of capturing a truly magical Mount Tammany portrait session, and the experience was nothing short of breathtaking. I took photos of my two best friends for their photography businesses. They are also wedding photographers.

As we began our hike up the Red Dot Trail, the afternoon light filtered through the trees, casting a warm, ethereal glow. With every step, the landscape offered new possibilities—from moss-covered rocks to towering oaks that framed the moments perfectly.

When we reached the summit, the view was nothing short of spectacular. The Delaware River snaked gracefully below, flanked by vibrant summer foliage that painted the scene in hues of green and gold. It was one of those moments where nature framed them seamlessly, creating a composition that felt cinematic.

Throughout the session, I encouraged my models to be themselves. To get lost in the moment. These candid photos are what truly bring portraits to life, and Mount Tammany’s serene environment made it easy for them to feel at ease.

As we left the hike under a raining sky, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the opportunity to create art in such a stunning location. Mount Tammany isn’t just a photographer’s dream; it’s a reminder of how nature can elevate the moments that matter most.
