New Jersey Beach Elopement

The Plan for the Beach Elopement Styled Shoot

As photographers, we need a creative edge. That is where the idea for this styled shoot came from. It was springtime, right before summer was coming. I thought that the perfect addition to my portfolio could be a beach elopement to kickoff the summer 2024 photoshoots. That is where the concept for this new jersey beach elopement came to fruition.

Getting Ready

We had the lovely Amy Dillon do our model Kelly Przy’s hair and the talented Carly Larrison do her makeup. WE HAD THE DREAM TEAM! They both work at Bombshell Hair Bar in Toms River. I could not have been happier with the outcome. It was A VISION THAT CAME TO FRUITION!

Elopement Photos on Point Pleasant Beach, NJ

Overall, we had a beautiful moody overcast day for the elopement photos. Kelly & Joe ran around the beach like little kids. It was adventurous, free spirited, and whimsical. They also had a tablescape they could sit at together. It combined nontraditional wedding vibes with a beach elopement theme.

Further, the tablescape had beautiful florals by Gaby, owner of a floral design business Sins x Oddities. I then added a candelabra with candles for the vibes, a light blue table cloth, and the “Just Eloped” cake by Melissa owner of Mels Sweet Delights. It set the tone for the luxury beach elopement tablescape.

Direct Flash Photography with Vintage Bike

To top the night off at the beach, we had a moment with the vintage yellow bike. I used direct flash photography to create a new artistic feeling to the photos. It’s giving “80s summer nostalgic” in my opinion.

Cake by Candlelight

Finally, they finished their elopement by eating their delicious cake together by candlelight. An intimate and private moment that they could enjoy after a wildly sentimental day that was perfect for them.
