Autumn Mount Tammany Elopement

The Elopement Vibes

Picture this: you and your husband are at your favorite hike. You’re about to embark on the adventure, while also having all your wedding essentials. BECAUSE… you’re about to get married at the top…

Have you considered eloping for your wedding day? Perhaps an autumn Mount Tammany elopement? If yes, I cannot wait to show you this epic Mount Tammany elopement I did last October. In addition, if you want more information on if you feel like you’re an elopement type of vibe, reference my elopement couple profile below!

My elopement couple’s profile:

  • You two like to do things YOUR way
  • You don’t want fuss and distractions on your special day
  • You want it to be JUST YOU TWO, with a minimum of 3-8 guests
  • You want to make the day unique and have it FEEL LIKE YOU
  • You want to invest more into the photography and videography than the venue
  • You prefer outdoor nature locations as opposed to a generic venue
  • You care more about a wedding day EXPERIENCE than a rushed timeline
  • You prioritize having the MOST time with your spouse on the wedding day

If you answered yes to most of this, keep reading, I think you’ll love Christina and Mike’s story…

Their Love Story

The most WILD part of their elopement story is that they chose to elope on the same day they had their FIRST DATE / FIRST HIKE on Mount Tammany… 8 YEARS PRIOR!!!!!! This is the most sentimental, special and unique elopement idea ever. So much history and so much meaning to their day. It was incredible!!!

Further, they LOVE gaming together, so they decided to add that unique quality into their elopement day. They incorporated it into their invitation for their special day. This allowed them to highlight their personality and love story even more through the details at their autumn Mount Tammany elopement.

Hiking Up Together

Wedding dress and tuxedo packaged and thrown over their shoulders, Christina and Mike started their ascent up the red dot trail at Mount Tammany! This is the coolest bride aesthetic, in my opinion… Hiking boots, backpack, water and wedding attire thrown over her shoulder. Like okaaaaay slaaaaay queeeeen.

We were all BREAKING A SWEAT, but the hike was no match for us. All of us were operating off of wedding day adrenaline. Therefore, we hiked up to the first overlook spot fairly quickly! As soon as we got to the overlook, Christina set up her tent so she could change into her wedding dress.

Getting Ready On Top of a Mountain

Christina’s best friend and Maid of Honor helped her into her dress, touched up her makeup, and kept her sturdy as she got ready on the side of a hill. That’s best friendship right there.

Hanging up their dress and tuxedo on the tree with the overlook of the Delaware River made for a great photo opportunity. There are so many creative options for your elopement photos when you’re eloping in such beautiful nature.

The Ceremony Overlooking the Delaware River

Their ceremony could not have been in front of a more majestic backdrop. The midday sun shone down on them as they said their vows. The Delaware River curved behind them, with more mountain views in the distance and rolling hills. Were we even in NEW JERSEY?! The nature POPPED OFF.

Their Bride & Groom Elopement Portraits

Flash forward 8 years later from their first date / hike on Mount Tammany… THEY ARE MARRIED!!!! The very first time they stepped at this overlook was when they first met. And now in the very same spot, they tied the knot. Such an incredibly special moment for them.

The Blue Dot Trail Bride & Groom Portraits

We finished their elopement day venturing to the other side of Mount Tammany to the Blue Dot Trail. And it was SO WORTH IT. We were able to get such moody and woodsy photos down by the water. It was also so awesome with the different lighting situations and shadows inside the trees. These ended up being my favorite photos of the day!!!!
