Autumn Elopement in Michigan
Eloping in Michigan in the autumn season is MAGIC!!! Since this venue has so much land, there are so many woods areas to explore with the most beautiful colors on the trees. From the pond area, to the stream in the woods, to the open fields, to the bonfire pit, Vale Royal Barn has so many nature areas to utilize for the outdoor elopement experience.
Vale Royal Barn
This Vale Royal Barn Elopement is an absolute fall dream! From Bethany and Abe stealing a quiet moment on the rustic wooden bridge, surrounded by the warm, fiery hues of autumn. She looked effortlessly radiant in her off-the-shoulder lace gown, with her bouquet bursting with rich shades of burnt orange, golden yellow, and deep crimson. Her loose waves and delicate jewelry complete the look, keeping things romantic yet totally relaxed. Meanwhile, Abe rocked a sharp black suit and glasses, adding a modern and classy vibe to this nature-filled scene. It was like a nostalgic love story movie scene!
Now, let’s talk about this venue—WOW. The bridge feels like it’s straight out of a fairy tale, framed by glowing leaves in every shade of fall imaginable. The cozy, whimsical vibe was emphasized by the blurred leaves in the foreground. It’s like peeking into a secret moment between the couple, making the whole shot feel intimate and magical. And if you squint a little, you’ll catch a glimpse of a charming wooden structure in the background, which only adds to the rustic charm.
Autumn Aesthetic
You can almost feel the crisp autumn air and hear the crunch of leaves underfoot. This photoshoot radiated the cozy, sweater-weather feeling—like sipping hot cider or wrapping up in your favorite scarf. The couple’s serene expressions show just how much they’re soaking in this little slice of bliss.
The goal for the vision was to capture the sweetest moment of the season. Whether you’re planning your own fall wedding or just in love with the autumn vibes, this elopement will have you dreaming of golden hour autumn magic!
Bethany & Abe
Bethany and Abe are sooooooo freaking adorable. They are truly a perfect match. Some highlights of the session was that they brought their tennis rackets because that is something they love to do together, so we took a fun photo of them holding their rackets and kissing. Another sweet moment was when they went inside the venue’s guest house for a photo lounging out on the couch reading their books together. One of their favorite things to do together is reading. So we had a whole photo moment for that as well.
Another main highlight was when they were on the deck on the water reading their vows to each other. It was such a time-stands still moment because when they were reading the vows, the way Bethany looked at Abe was so powerful, and it was as if nothing else in the whole world mattered to them. That is the whole reason I became a photographer in the first place.
For the styled shoot, we incorporated so much of their personality and so many touches to celebrate the beauty of autumn: their real vows, their wedding attire, their favorites like books and tennis, a vibrant autumn colored floral arch on the arbor, a unique autumn bouquet, and a vintage heart cake to celebrate.Â
