Mount Tammany Adventure Elopement

Getting Ready

Melissa decided to have an intimate day for her wedding photos. She chose Ashley Oppedisano Beauty for her hair and makeup: https://www.ashleyoppedisanobeauty.com/. Ashley was INCREDIBLE and Melissa and I both highly recommend her. We went to her studio Bare Face Beauty in Edison, NJ. It was so cozy and so beautiful. The whole experience was 11/10. We all had fun chatting and getting to know each other. All the vibes were great to start the day off right.

Melissa & Amr Love Story

Melissa & Amr got married in September 2023. It all started when they met through mutual friends. Their first date was at Miller’s Ale House, where Amr couldn’t stop telling Melissa how beautiful she was… (Well sir, you are married to a QUEEEEEEN). 😉

On any given day you will find them annoying each other playfully or eating their favorite ice cream together. Amr and Melissa have so much fun by messing with each other and joking around with witty sarcasm. They like to have fun and keep things light together. 😊

Their favorite memory together so far was their trip to Aruba. Fast forward to them present day, they are proud cat parents to their precious Basha. This cat truly is their heart and soul (I have seen it first hand). 🥹

I have been so lucky to become such good friends with these two this year. It has been so much fun getting to know them and seeing them grow together so much in a short time. They are both truly amazing people with hearts of gold. Observing their marriage has been a blessing and so inspiring. I’m so grateful to call them my friends. 🤍

Mount Tammany Adventure Elopement

This was the most beautiful Mount Tammany adventure elopement on a summer evening! 🥳 Melissa’s goals for their wedding photos was to capture their love organically and to simply enjoy the beautiful nature on Mount Tammany. We had so much fun taking polaroids throughout the shoot as well. It was all so perfect and the whole vision came together so effortlessly. 🌲🌞🌻

For the flat lay photos we used the following: tree stickers, her wedding shoes, her flower bouquet, her wedding invitation, a wooden ring box, a cream colored ring box, their wedding polaroid photos, light pale green ribbon, her veil, and her vow books on top of the soil with reddish rocks. Her vision was to encapsulate the beauty of the Mount Tammany nature with her wedding theme. It was such a unique idea for a flat lay. Whenever I am doing flat lays, I always tell the bride in advance to brainstorm sentimental items she may want to use in the photos. It always turns out to special when each bride adds her own twist to the flat lay details.

Mount Tammany Red Dot Trail

As for the hike, I have come to Mount Tammany many times, and I always do the red dot trail. I always stop at the first overlook, because it is a strenuous hike. Usually most couples do not want to go to the top when they are focused on getting the photos done. Unless you have experience hikers with you, most people are comfortable stopping at the first overlook to take photos. This first overlook is my FAVORITE. From start to finish, if you keep a good pace, it only takes about 30 minutes to get up to the overlook. All you have to do is climb up the rock trail to get to the first overlook. Then I usually bring the couple back down the mountain after.

Creative Elopement Wedding Photos

Overall, we were able to use the beautiful nature of the Delaware Water Gap at Mount Tammany to get some EPIC photos. The overlook has the Delaware River and more mountain views in the distance. On the other side, there are woods with views of rolling foothills in the distance, flowers in the grass, big trees, and long trails of boulders. There are endless opportunities on Mount Tammany to get amazing photos in nature. I highly recommend eloping on Mount Tammany if you are local to the Delaware Water Gap!
